Founded by Matt Barter, a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience in law enforcement, strategic policy development, and data analytics, 12-Analytics is dedicated to empowering public sector clients through data-driven solutions.

 

Founder: Matt Barter

Matt brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in deriving actionable insights from complex data sets, establishing effective metrics, and fostering cross-department collaboration. His journey in the public sector includes work as a patrol officer, a crime analyst, a federal Task Force Officer, a front-line supervisor, and the department's Chief of Staff. Each step along this path has been centered on his unique ability to leverage data and analytics to drive successful outcomes.

From delivering data-informed analysis for singular business units within the agency to developing strategic plans for the entire organization, Matt has shown skill in identifying the right data to inform leaders and drive action.  This includes the development and evaluation of evidence-based crime reduction initiatives, the development of real-time analytics for opioid overdoses, the creation of homeless services data capture and reporting, staffing analysis, and much more.

As a National Institute of Justice LEADS Scholar, Matt collaborates with scholars across North America to integrate research into policy development. His contributions to the field are recognized through numerous awards, including the NH Congressional Law Enforcement Award and the US Attorney’s Office Excellence in the Pursuit of Justice Award.
